Scott County Regional Authority Grants New Server
Churches United is so blessed to have been awarded a grant that will bring our computer system up to the 21st Century and out of the dark ages. In addition to the new server, we were able to get a new computer for our bookkeeper who had the greatest need as our accounting software had an update and her computer was too slow to work it efficiently. The new HP Printer will allow us to print color brochures so that we can better get our Churches United story out to the community.
Birdies Pledge Forms are due SOON!
The clock is ticking down to the John Deere Classic and the "Birdies for Charity". Winnie's Place shelter is full of women and children. Do you realize that when women come into shelter they often come with just the clothes on their backs. Winnie's supplies them with all the daily necessities (hygiene products, FOOD, clothes) and if they have children they might need formula or diapers in addition to clothes and a safe place to lay their heads at night. Winnie's staff helps them with counseling, career planning and identifying ways they can become self sufficient.
Churches United is on Facebook!
Yes,that's right. Churches United is now on Facebook thanks to one of the Faith Talks guests, Reverend Fred Vanderwerf from Mankato, Minnesota who told Churches United's Anne Wachal how many churches are now using Facebook to reach it's members. So give it a try! It will be a great way to pass along timely information as it relates to the faith community.
